| Dr. Solinas, owner/director of Plazita Medical Clinic, has been on the teaching faculty for both Stanford University and UC Davis Physician’s Assistant – Family Nurse Practitioner program since 1984. He is teaching UCSC Health Career Major interns. In his personal life, Dr. Solinas resides in Santa Cruz with his wife of 29 years and has 3 children. He enjoys salsa dancing and handball. | ||

| Ricardo was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. He developed an interest in medicine as a Hospital Corpsman while stationed at Balboa Naval Medical Center in San Diego and combat medical training at Camp Pendleton. Before he received his Physician Assistant training, he worked as a labor and delivery surgical technician, a phlebotomist with the VA, an emergency room technician and a procurement technician harvesting human eyes for transplantation and research. He graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine Primary Care Associate Program with Foothill College in 2007. Since graduating he has been working as a board certified physician assistant at Plazita Medical Clinic. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the California Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA). Ricardo lives in Capitola. He enjoys music, sports, jiu-jitsu, spending time with family and friends. |
